The European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) is hosting the graduation ceremony for its 10th Edition (2022-2024) on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 14:00 to 18:00 at the University of Oldenburg, with an option for virtual attendance.
The event will begin with an opening by Dr. Lydia Potts (EMMIR Primary Coordinator), followed by a speech from Prof. Dr. Esther Ruigendijk (Dean, School of Linguistics and Cultural Studies, University of Oldenburg), and the awarding of degrees accompanied by a group photoshoot.
The ceremony includes performances, and presentations from graduates, including from Chiamaka Akpuogwu (Edition 10 Student Representative), and the announcement of the EMMIR Most Innovative Thesis Award, which has been lauded by Prof. Dr. Mary Setrana (Director, Center for Migration Studies, University of Ghana). The event concludes with a closing speech by Michal Musialowski (EMMIR Academic Coordinator) with a reception and buffet following the ceremony.
The event also serves an opportunity for the graduating 10th Edition to meet the incoming 12th Edition of students.
